After an early goal by Carthage, Branson tied it on a PK converted by Noah Lennon. The half ended 1-2 before the Tigers doubled their output in the 2nd half. Carthage goals were Joe Curti in the 11th minute unassisted, Juan Ortiz unassisted in the 21st, Matt Robinson on a PK in the 41st, Curti in 50th unassisted, Robinson in the 69th unassisted and Ortiz in the 71st assisted by Ismael Serratos

At halftime, tied as Kaleb Romero scores from the spot after Khai Uyen Huynh is taken down in the box. The Jays tied it late in the half when Chris Aiken was waiting at the far post for Devon Whitlock’s set piece from the far left.

The game went to PKs following a scoreless 2nd half and two 5 min OT periods. Nixa beat Greenwood 2-1 as Kaleb Romero and Robert Neathery converted their shots and goalie Mason Young stopped the last two attempts. Goalie Hawken Thieme was responsible for several important saves in the game, including a diving stop midway thru the 1st half, to keep the Jays close. An entertaining game, both teams will so well this year.
